This Privacy Policy explains how Word-L Series App (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and data required to run core app features:

• Account information: email address and authentication data managed through Supabase Auth.
• Profile information: display name.
• App content you submit: Word submission text, calculated score, submission date/time.
• Tournament data: tournaments you create or join, participation status, scores, and leaderboard-related records.
• Technical/session data: basic service logs generated by our backend provider to operate and secure the service.

We do not use your data for advertising personalization.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage your account and sign-in sessions.
• Process daily submissions and tournament scoring.
• Show tournament standings, results, and participation status.
• Enforce app rules and limits (for example, tournament and submission constraints).
• Maintain app security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

3. Legal Basis (Where Applicable)

If you are in a region requiring legal bases for data processing (such as the EEA/UK), we process data based on:

• Performance of a contract (providing the app service you request).
• Legitimate interests (service security, fraud prevention, reliability).

We do not sell your personal data.

We share data only as needed to provide the service:

• Service provider: Supabase (authentication, database, and hosting infrastructure).

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide tournament history and app functionality.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data where reasonably possible, subject to legal, security, and legitimate operational requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including authenticated access controls and row-level security policies in our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on infrastructure used by our service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
